Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Calories uses information when you use the app.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Information We Use

Calories uses information you enter in the app, such as profile details, goals, food logs, meal edits, and progress data, in order to personalize the experience and provide nutrition insights.

2. AI Processing

When you use AI food scanning, the app sends the selected food image and related input data to a third-party AI provider to generate nutrition estimates. Related input data can include optional user hints and nutrition context you provide in the app (such as goal, diet type, allergies, dislikes, and selected app language).

The AI provider is Google Gemini API (Google LLC). This transfer occurs only after you grant in-app AI data consent.

3. Apple Health

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Calories may read and write selected Health data, such as weight, activity, workouts, sleep, hydration, and dietary nutrition data, in order to sync logs and improve progress tracking. Health access is optional and can be disabled at any time in the app or in Apple Health settings.

4. Subscriptions

Calories uses RevenueCat and Apple in-app purchases to manage premium subscriptions. Subscription status information may be processed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.

5. Data Sharing

Calories shares data with third parties only when needed to provide requested features:

Third-party providers are expected to protect data under their own privacy and security obligations.

6. Security

Reasonable steps are taken to reduce unauthorized access to data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Contact
